Tri-Alliance in partnership with Thanyapura Health & Sports Resort in Phuket, offers athletes of all ages (with a reasonable level of fitness), from all around the globe the opportunity to experience triathlon training like you’ve never imagined.

With 4-star accommodation, all meals, coaching and testing included over 10 action-packed days, athletes are treated to the life of a professional athlete with incredible facilities to indulge in.

This resort is fully inclusive, meaning there is no more to pay.

Staying in the sports wing, athletes will be only moments from the day-to-day action. Rooms are fitted with luxurious bedding, bike storage, flat screen, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and much more to ensure a comfortable stay.

The Olympic pool’s electronic timing system and underground observation window allows athletes to be critiqued on their technique better than ever. The 500m all-weather cushioned athletics track is one of few in the world, whilst the picturesque cycling on immaculate, quiet roads surrounding the resort will keep you challenged.

During down time, take advantage of any of the resort’s classes, including mind training, Pilates, Zumba, Muay Thai and yoga. Go for a hit on the tennis courts or sweat it out in the 900sqm gym. There’s a stunning recreational pool for you to enjoy, too!

Alternatively, venture outside the resort and get some sun and salt water at the beach. Conventional Phuket – beaches, shopping, cocktails and island hopping – is also nearby.

What Can I Expect?

In addition to training for all three facets of triathlon, athletes will also undergo the rigours of high-end testing to help you achieve your fitness goals.   • Flight out from Melbourne International Airport for all Melbourne-based athletes, other interstate and international athletes to arrive late Friday.
  • Melbourne-based athletes arriving late Thai time (10.30pm local). Transfers provided from Phuket International Airport to Thanyapura.

Location and climate is everything!

Located on the Island of Phuket, which is off the mainland of Thailand – Thanyapura is the ideal location for athletes to train in, in the lead-up to Ironman World Champs (Kona), 70.3 World Champs and ITU World Championship events or as a springboard to the race season ahead.

Climate is a critical reason why we travel to Thanyapura. With temperatures in the high 20’s and early 30’s – and more importantly, high humidity, it is the most suitable environment to be training in to gain valuable data on sodium, calorie and fluid loss, all tested in-house while you are there.

With uninterrupted programs and nothing to worry about except turning up to the next session, Thanyapura has become the most sought-after training camp for triathletes.

Ollie Allan

Not only has Ollie Allan been involved in triathlon for 18+ years, he also has extensive qualifications, including Level 2 Triathlon Coach, Level 1 Cycling, Swimming, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Bachelor of Arts Recreation Management and more. Ollie’s efforts in his own training and racing have resulted in a number of outstanding performances; none better than Ironman Melbourne 2012 when he finished in 8:54.22 and fourth age grouper overall, whilst also finishing second for M 35-30 to qualify for Kona.

Very professional training camp facilitated at a five star training facility supported by knowledgable, caring coaches along with our own myo therapist and yoga teacher. We also had the opportunity to spend time with an expert in hydration and fueling (sweat testing, advice and trial of products). The added advantage was that it was located in a great holiday destination during a time of year when it is less desirable to train in Australia.
Thank you Ollie, Ross and the rest of the crew that helped out with camp.
Can’t wait until next year!!

Used this camp in prepartion for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Mooloolaba 2016. This camp exceeded all my expectations. Absolutely loved it. Everything included, it really is an athletes dream there. I was able to get the fitness to the next level and learn a few things along the way like my sweat rate/sodium losses.

Amazing camp in a beautiful part of the world. Facilities were incredible with everything available on-site. My bike was damaged in-flight on the way but was able to hire a quality bike for the duration of the camp so did not miss out on the ride sessions.
Hot and cold plunge pools for recovery, fully kitted weights and aerobic rooms, spaces to host seminars and yoga sessions and an amazing pool that even a non-swimmer like me could enjoy.
Can’t wait to go back next July!

Cracking camp at a cracking venue with world class facilities. Train and live like a pro athlete (and maybe meet some too!) on this action packed camp. Amazing rides, perfect swimming pool and a 500m track plus roads and trails to run. With access to a spin room, compu training, yoga, spa, gym, and all manner of fitness activities you will not get bored. Video analysis, seminars on hydration and nutrition and plenty of personal coaching ensured I got heaps from the week with many takeaways for my upcoming racing. Definitely a camp to do at least once!

Just Brilliant ! Faultless facilities and what it’s to Offer. Fantastic people , coaches , resort staff and the admin very welcoming . Accomodating for all abilities . The training , defiantly takes you to a different level . Coupled up with very informative seminars : nutrition, hydration and personalised coaching onnthecrides, video analysis of technique correction of run and swim was amazing . Simply as a package delivered beyond expectations . Looking forward to next year .

Attending this camp was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I came along with a base level fitness of about 5%, and having a few sprint distance races under my belt, and want to kick my motivation back into gear. The coaches were phenomenal, what I appreciated the most was that I have had all elements of my technique tweaked and improved, with patience and constructive advice, without making me feel out of place with people fitter than myself.

The facility was great, neat and clean and the staff were lovely! The scenery on the rides were beautiful and the food was great! Night out was also lots of fun!

Overall it was an amazing way to spend time away from work!! I met some amazing people and I can’t wait for next year!
